With a pandemic closing everything down, we opened our hearts to each other. After meeting on Hinge (gross) and Amalia attempting to ghost me (fair), I convinced her to give me a chance. I am so lucky she did <3

Together, we zoomed from Long Beach to Mission Viejo almost every day for six months. We talked about our cats, our hopes, and our desire to share our lives with one another. After a year of being together, we got a place in Bellflower where our cats learned they hated each other. What a special moment, but we realized we loved each other even more.

I began teaching and she began hating working from home. After 3 years of being together, I decided to take her on a hike to the highest part of Zion National Park where I got on one knee and asked her to be with me forever. She said and I quote, “Oh my god, I’m so out of breath but yes.” Now celebrating 5 years of being in love, we are asking our friends and family to come celebrate our marriage and joy (we eloped last year for health insurance, my bad y’all) to let you know that we care and want to share our love with you. <3
